Thumbs up Online guide to the new Detroit Midfield Terminal!

Check this link out for an online guide to the new Detroit Midfield Terminal- it's got some nice images and graphics showing the layout of the terminal and I must say this is quite a quantum leap in passenger service over the old Smith/Davey terminals.

Reminds me of an old joke where three salesman are sitting at a bar one Friday afternoon- the first salesman says "Man did I screw up, I lost the Jones account this week. The boss is pissed at me and he's sending me on a one week trip to Nome, Alaska as punishment."

"That's nothing" says the second salesman. "I got drunk at the company luncheon last week and called the boss a few choice four letter words in front of everyone. Now he's cut my bonus out for the year and I have to go to Kabul, Afghanistan for two weeks."

"You guys got off easy" says the last salesman, "The boss just found out I've been banging his wife for the last year. Now I have to transfer through Detroit on every business trip I take for the next year."

Thumbs up

Very good, Chicken. Very good! That joke was very humorous, and unfortunately true. I always hated transiting through DTW as that place was a crowded dump, and I'm using nice words here. It always reminded me of that god awful pier at DCA, you know the one where TWA and NW are housed. Unfortunately, nearly the whole terminal at DTW was like that lone concourse at DCA. I dunno, I guess it was kinda depressing going in and outta Detroit. This new and improved Mid Field Terminal looks quite good. 'Tis about time DTW had a nice terminal!

Known as the "Banjo." Used to fly in and out of there for Third World Express.
