The food is quite good, though the presentation is a bit lacking. They come down the aisle with a food cart and take the foil off the dishes in front of you. Not cool. On Virgin Atlantic and Continental all the preparation is done in the galley, making the presentation much nicer.

The seats are okay at best. If you're 6'4" or taller you'll have a big problem with the legrest and foot bar. At full extension I was unable to fully stretch out and had to bend my legs, making for a very uncomfortable sleep. There is minimal lumbar support and the pillows are TINY.

The touchscreen video system is excellent and the noise cancelling Bose headphones make for a very quiet ride.

Compared to other carriers business product I give it a B+. Grant you, I've only experienced their A340 product and not the 777, which I hear is a bit better.

I flew in Air France's business class (on a 777) last year. Service, food and entertainment system were quite good.
I was not as impressed with the legroom as much as I was with other airlines (Cathay for example), I had trouble moving my legs when the passenger in front of me lowered the back of his seat (and I'm not abnormally tall, 6' 1''). Other than that though the seats themselves were comfy.

AF's business class is pretty good for a 3 class airplane, however it's inferior compared to the 2 class business class products of CO, VS, and even DL. My vote for best business class on a 3 cabin aircraft goes to Emirates. The best J class on a 2 cabin bird goes to Virgin (by a hair over CO).

The worst business class i've been in? EgyptAir....yikes!

Thanks a lot everybody...sounds like AF has a generally good business class. I was worried about seating (value for money), but then again, i am only 5'8". if there are any more comments, they are very welcome!

I've flown in AF A340's and 777-200's and found the overall product comparable other than the centre seat on the 777 which is a no no really. The food is good (as you'd expect from the French ) and cabin staff are always friendly and courteous. The main thing for me is that basically long haul flying is a pain, business is better than economy, but it's still not a nice experience. The trend for business class beds may help like on BA, but it's still not great, or am I just being grumpy and awkward?

On the smaller planes like a319s the business class seating is just like coach, except the middle set has no one in it.

Default Great

I flew on a A-340 from MIA-CDG in business a couple of years ago, It is quite good, the food good, service is good, FA excellent Overall I agree the leg room could use improvement, now I did get on the AA 777 in business class from DFW-ORD-DFW not long ago and let me tell you that business on the AA 777 is excellent, seat wise, Ive yet to try the business class on the long flights, which I will in October from DFW-NRT-DFW.
