Thumbs down UAL goes Pepsi

Looks lioke UAL is getting desperate for quick cash. I heard they are going to dump Coke and go with Pepsi for $25 million. That is almost as bad as dumping Boeing and going all Airbus.

Not that I care, but dumping Coke is stupid. Pepsi is a company that never had an original ideal and has to pay companies to use their product. Not that Coke doesn't do the same thing, but they are the original cola. Things got so bad for Pepsi that they had to buy KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut just to get their products in these fast food establishments.

As for the T-Man, soft drinks are fine, but give me a nice Gin and Tonic please.

IMHO, i prefer pepsi, only because it doesn't give me heartburn, but i still drink coke...with mass quantities of Jack Daniels or his bro Jimmy Beam.

Good on ya, United! Coke, especially Diet Coke, blows. Give me a Diet Pepsi/Pepsi anytime.

Speaking of sodas, American recently dropped Dr. Pepper from their on-board selection. I can't believe this.....c'mon AA, Dr. Pepper is your hometown soda!!!

I wonder if NW serves Vernor's or Faygo on board? Probably not but it might encourage me to fly them more often.

Pepsi is longing for attention. Here's is a list of retorical questons.

What does Pepsi mean?
Who first created the product Pepsi/ Coke?
Who is cuddlier, a polar bear or Britney Spears?
Which tastes better, Coke or Pepsi?

Pepsi was invented by a pharmacist and was intended to sooth the stomach while refreshing, unlike coke which contained a narcotic and tended to upset the stomach.
Pepsi is a play on the word peptic, it was originally called Brad's Drink.

Pepsi was invented by Caleb Bradham.
Coke was invented by Dr. John S. Pemberton.

Britney, the bears aren't real.

Pepsi, the taste test proved it, and is still proving it.

I don't drink either. Caffeine makes me crazy. I'll usually drink tea, especially on long flights, because the steam helps my sinuses which really don't take well to dry cabin air. But I will agree that the whole Pepsico corp. sucks. They own (monopolize) 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the potato chip market, as well as some truly lousy fast food joints--Taco Hell, Kentucky Fried Pigeon, etc.

I especially detest their horrible Pepsi concorde! That hideosity must go!

It depends on if i was doing some hard drinkin' the night before.
(reminds me of when me and my brother were waiting to board my flight in Atlanta last year for christmas, this army guy in line for the ticket counter at the gate suddenly turns around with his hand over his mouth, staggering for the trash can, and retching violently.) me and my bro had to walk away so no one would hear the laughter.
