Default EADS/Finnmecania fall out
The consolidation of the European aerospace and defence sector took a backward step this week, as the Italian Finnmecania company and EADS cancelled their merger/takeover plans. The Italian company is being chased by both BAe Systems and EADS and one key reason is that if one of them could take over/ merge Finnmecania then they would gain effective control of the Eurofighter Typhoon program.
