Default Worst US Airline ever to fly - and I mean ever!

Any nominations?

I have to go with Western Pacific - you know the airline that had the Vegas Stripper on the tail.

I've had such bad experiences on USAir/U S Airways that I refuse to fly them if I'm headed back east. I'll stick with Americanski, Untied, Southwest, Contintental, Northworst, and Cactus before I step foot in another flight headed from SFO to PHL/CLT/PIT/BAL.

On one delta flight they made us pay for headphones. But it was a 738 and the tv's came down from the baggage compartment.

That's pretty standard on flights, esp. major carriers.

My brother was extremely surprised at this when he flew Delta. Neither of us have flown on any other major U.S. carrier...I've flown on none...so I guess we weren't accustomed to that.

I haven't flown with many airlines, but all the ones I have been on issued headphones for free for use during the flight, even short haul flights like between YYZ and BOS.

Dr Death, Sunworld's DC-9s are still here in sunny St Pete FL, but under a new name Southeast Airlines. And they are beyond filthy, I was hired by Southeast for 2 weeks back in Aug to help part out and scrap a DC-9-30, and i saw scum and dirt and filthyness in the strangest places on this bird. I like to believe we did that plane a favor by putting it out of it's misery.

Worst flights for me have been on TWA just after they were bought out by American AIrlines. Flight Attendants were rude, passed me and my seat neighbor over during a drink service, and handed me a pepsi when I asked for a coke (which they had). They also bumped into me repeatedly when I was sitting in the Aisle seat on the last flight I had with them from STL to HNL. Deffinitley the worst airline, no wonder they got bought out.

They are forever late and always on a mechanical.

My dad always cringed when he had to take a business trip on
the old Allegheny (now USAir...or Airways...or whatever). He
always called 'em "Agony" Airlines.

Why not fly Asian airlines when you're taking international flights then? Solves the problem once and for all. You'll probably get great service, new planes, and best of all almost everything is free except for the inflight shopping.
