Default American Eagle flight intercepted by F-15s

Hey guys I was one of the DFW passengers onboard flight 3904

Flight 3904 intercepted F-15 fighters shortly after take-off from waco regional airport (KACT). The aircraft went too far west after take off. 2 fighters intercepted the Saab 340B aircraft.

The pilot made a sharp bank to avoid collision.

Question

How far west was the pilot planning to go? Waco Regional is 13 nautical miles to the east of the edge of prohibited airspace P-49 (the President's ranch- the prohibited area is approx 6 nm diameter). Unless perhaps you were taking off southbound over Lake Waco and turning to the west.....

Question

Sharp bank? That might be interpreted as a potentially hostile act. Proper response is to illuminate all outside lights, waggle wings gently, and lower landing gear when approaching airport. The crew should have also been monitoring atc freq 121.5 for intercept data.
Patrick, are you pulling our legs????

The bush no fly zone is 10 miles in diamiter.
We took off and headed west, the pilot preformed the anticollision
procedures as the fighter pilots set up the intercept wrong.

No, it's only 6 nautical miles in diameter, I'm looking at the San Antonio sectional as we speak. I'm guessing you took off from Rwy 19 and turned to the west with intent to turn north if you're headed to DFW, right? You got lots of room between P-49 and ACT from what I can see on the sectional.

It's nautical miles and Patrick is correct on the size. The sectionals show the prohibited area's "inert" size, it is expanded by NOTAM when the Man's in town. Also, it's more likely the F15's intercepted agressively because they could not reach the piolt by voice. Not that I would know... just a guess.
