1. CO airlines stands for Continental ?
2. is Continental airlines out of bussiness? 3.is Continental airlines still a big company?
4.is Continental airlines an international company?
5.what is Continental dallas?

Thoses question came to me after the 9/11/01 attacks.

OK... we'll give you the benefit of the doubt here:

1. CO is the IATA (International Air Transport Association) abbreviation, COA is the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) abbreviation.

2. Nope. They've been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy twice but is doing OK today under the current management of Gordon Bethune (hey, anyone who would threaten to empty a clip from his gun at people if things weren't done must be doing something right.)

3. Very much so. They also own their own catering company, Chelsea Catering, based in Houston.

4. CO is headquartered in Houston, The Republic of Texas

, but serves many international destinations.

5. WTF?!?!? Don't understand. (CO does serve DFW and DAL).

No sh*t, really? I knew there was a reason I liked ol' Gordo. Several of my patients are Continental FAs and supposedly Bethune throws a wild party. Of course I've heard some equally entertaining stories about Herb 'round these parts in Dallas.

CO Dallas used to be a ground transport opp betwen DFW and DAL they used Busses that they used to use at IAH before the new COEX wings were open. at on point CO was going to try and rival ASA's shortlived opps from Love.

In fact, their previous merger effort with Delta failed, as the Dixie boys lack an affinity for Mexican food. The abortive name would have been DelTaco. (a small chain of Mexican fast-food restaraunts in the southwest U.S.)
