Britannia to Call Orlando Sanford Home for Next 7 Years
Marks 4th New Airline Announcement This Year

SANFORD, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2001--Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) announced today, Britannia Airways, part of the Preussag Group which also owns Thomson Holidays, is moving to SFB in January 2002. The relocation of Britannia is part of an agreement that will make SFB, Britannia's Orlando gateway for the next seven years. Britannia will operate 315-seat B767-300ER aircraft. The airline will operate year-round service from the United Kingdom. Britannia is expected to increase the airport's traffic by over 80,000 passengers per year.

Paul Cooper, Purchasing Manager -- Airports, for Britannia commented on the airline's move to Orlando Sanford, "We have been watching the growth of Orlando Sanford and are impressed to see the airport continue to refine and enhance its operation. Its overall convenience, combined with recent terminal expansion and additional gates will provide an excellent experience for our passengers. Landing at Orlando Sanford ensures our guests' holiday gets off to the best possible start."

Larry Gouldthorpe, President of TBI Airport Management at Orlando Sanford, remarked, "We are pleased Britannia has rejoined our family of airlines and we appreciate their confidence in us to provide them with the highest level of service over the next seven years. Bringing Britannia back to Orlando Sanford will solidify the airport as the state's largest gateway for U.K. visitors."

Orlando Sanford International Airport is located near the Orlando attractions and is also convenient to Daytona Beach. Adjacent to the airport are the business communities of Lake Mary and Heathrow, part of Florida's "High Tech Corridor." Airlines and their passengers enjoy convenient parking, new terminal facilities, short walking distances, and low operating costs. Airports Council International (ACI) ranked SFB as the fastest growing North American airport in 2000, among airports with one million or more annual passengers.

Does anyone know if there are as many National Guard troops
walking around SFB with M-16's as there are at MCO? I went thru
MCO a couple weeks ago, and felt really sad that thanks to
Mr. Osama bin jerk off Laden, it felt like I was in a police state.
I hope he gets an iron enima from a B-1 bomber.
